Charter March 26 "Yellowtail" at Catalina Island

Had a charter with the cousins, Jerel, Don, and Arnell, targeting Yellowtail and Calico Bass at. Catalina Island! I knew of a bite going on and hit the spot in the gray light. We got em pretty much right away on sinking out surface iron and grinding back as as fast you can until it stopped. We had a bunch of short biters, but, the ones that did bite were mean ones. Also got a few misc. stuff like a nice Ling Cod and Starry rock fish. Tide bottom out and decided to go Calico fishing around noon. Fished the West end for only a few biters. I decided to head to the beach and check some spots out at Palos Verdes and it was pretty darn good on the Surface Iron and swimbaits. Water temp at Catalina was 65-67 and the beach was about the same. Thanks guys for an awesome day!
